Wordpress version 2.8 was release on June 10th and everyone using earlier versions is probably earger to get the new features. In addition to over 790 bugs fixes, there are improvements in themes, widgets, taxonomies, and overall speed. The question is whether there are any low hanging fruits making it attractive to be an early mover.
